At Khairatabad, where the largest Ganesh idol attracts lakhs of devotees, three teams are working tirelessly to monitor the massive crowds.

On the very first day of the festival, police apprehended 51 offenders. Of these, 40 were adults and 11 were minors. Authorities stated that video evidence was collected in all cases to ensure strict legal action.

Those above 18 years of age will be presented before a court, while the minors will undergo counselling along with their parents. Police believe this approach will help prevent future offences.

Special attention is being given to areas that are hotspots for eve-teasing, particularly during the late evening hours when pandals remain packed. Surveillance has also been increased in dimly lit areas to ensure safety.

Offenders are being booked under BNS Section 292. Authorities have issued a stern warning that strict legal actions will be taken against anyone caught harassing women during the festivities.

The police have urged citizens to report any such incidents promptly. She Teams are on high alert, ready to respond immediately and ensure the safety of women.

With continuous monitoring and robust enforcement, Hyderabad Police are committed to making the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations safe and enjoyable for women and families.
