This year’s Cannes will definitely be a memorable one. From stunning fashion choices to spectacular movie screenings, this was a stellar event. But these events also provide you with a stage where you can make a statement. Mahlagha Jaberi just utilized most of it.
Mahlagha Jaberi is an Iranian-born model who took The Internet by storm. Not just because of her bold fashion sense but also for the message in it, she is becoming the talk of the town.
She is seen wearing a dress inspired by Mosse to raise awareness for the executions in Iran. She took the social media handle to upload a video of herself in the dress while putting up a caption, “dedicated to the people of Iran”
The Iranian model highlighted the extensive rise of executions in the nation. Earlier in December a report was published regarding the number of execution and it is shocking.
In 2021, 333 people faced this fate but it rose to 500 last year and the numbers are concerning. And what is more conceding is the fact that most of these executions are not even official.
Even in May, the country suffered 90 execution, which becomes the bloodiest month of the combined five years. Voices were needed to be raised and Mahlagha Jaberi became one of many who will fight against this, who will make a statement.
