The video was shared on Instagram on May 25 with the account @somi_sharma01 and has received over 283k views and 20,000 likes. Some users praised her and called her cute in response to the video.

While some passengers praised the youngster, others chastised her for causing pain to fellow travelers and breaching the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) ban on such behavior. The DMRC recently published a public service announcement advising passengers to stop filming reels, dancing videos, or indulging in any other activities that may cause discomfort to others within the metro.

Despite the DMRC’s efforts to solve the problem, viral videos from within the metro continue to circulate. A recent video of a couple kissing on the floor of a metro carriage sparked even more uproar. As a result, the DMRC has decided to beef up security by boosting patrols at stops and aboard trains.

To prevent such situations, uniformed security guards and plainclothes workers will watch the coaches. CCTV cameras are already deployed in most coaches and stations, and more are being added to monitor any suspicious activity.
