So she mentioned two movies that she labeled as ‘classics’. She talked about Thalapathy Vijay’s Pokkiri (Remake Of Maheshbabu’s Pokiri) and Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi. It’s not the first time she associated herself with her roots as she also recreated the sensational ‘Sami sami’ song from Pushpa.

Now she is getting severely trolled on social media because of these statements. As kids, we are often attached to some movies and we hold special regards for them. But calling Pokkiri a classic created some buzz indeed and the social media is not liking this.

Pokkiri was a hit movie at that time, even had a a theatrical run for over 200 days but that doesn’t define a classic movie. It also became the first Tamil film to reach the 75 crore club but it was more of an entertainment experience than a cinematic one.

The fans of Thalapathy Vijay are showing their appreciation for the film as well on social media. It just divided the fanbase a bit and for the buzz, it’s never too bad. Neither the less, a childhood movie is a childhood movie and it doesn’t need to be classic to be your favorite.
