In a surprising move, the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission has proposed a ban on men cutting women’s hair or tailoring their clothes. This move seems to be aimed at preventing ‘bad touch’ incidents to prevent potential misconduct.
The proposal states that only female tailors and barbers should serve women. It also includes the installation of CCTV cameras in tailoring shops, along with mandatory female staff at women’s clothing stores.
