During the Diwali season, trains in India are overcrowded, and finding a seat becomes almost impossible. In one such incident, a passenger locked a train washroom, kept his luggage inside, and used it as his personal room.
The video quickly went viral. While some praised his creativity, others pointed out that it was completely wrong. Each coach has only four washrooms, and when one is blocked, other passengers especially the elderly and children face serious inconvenience.
Using public spaces for personal comfort is not smart; it’s selfish. If everyone begins doing the same, chaos will follow, and even those without tickets might misuse train facilities.
Clean and fair travel depends not just on the government but also on us as passengers. Following basic rules, keeping spaces clean, and showing civic sense are small steps that make a big difference. Respecting shared areas ensures everyone travels comfortably and with dignity.
