The viral video has piqued the interest of the Twitterati, who are unable to stop giggling at the predicament. The move follows the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) announcement that Rs. 2000 denomination notes will be phased out of circulation.

According to the allegation, a client filled up his bike with gas and handed over an Rs. 2000 note. However, the fuel station employee refused to take the note and requested a lesser value. This resulted in a struggle between the two, after which the worker used a pipe to drain the gasoline from the scooter’s tank.

The viral video was provided by Nigar Praveen, a Twitter user. She captioned the video, “Gave Rs. 2000 note at a petrol pump in UP’s Jalaun.” The high denomination note was declined by the personnel. Later, spilled fuel was also removed from the tank.”

Meanwhile, people are queuing outside banks to exchange Rs 2,000 notes, and many lakhs of rupees in Rs 2000 notes are being donated to temples and other holy institutions.
