priyanka-chopra-advice-on-virgin-wife-sparks-backlash

A man retweeted Priyanka Chopra’s statement, adding his own take. Priyanka had said, “Don’t look for a virgin as a wife. Look for a woman with good manners. Virginity is lost in one night. Manners stay forever.”

The man replied, “Don’t look for a man’s income or money. Look for manners and good character. Money ends one day, but manners last a lifetime.”

Many men in the comment sections praised his response. They called it “wise” and said it was a fair reply, claiming women focus too much on a man’s money.

But his response is flawed. Virginity is a meaningless concept created by society to control women. It has no real value and shouldn’t define a woman’s worth. Money, however, is necessary for survival. Comparing virginity to money is unfair and dismisses the serious issue Priyanka was addressing.

The comments also show how outdated gender roles are still supported. They assume men are only valuable for their income and women for their character or behavior. This ignores the fact that women today earn and contribute financially just as much as men.

Instead of addressing real issues like inequality, this argument shifts attention away from the problem. Virginity and money aren’t the same, and reinforcing these comparisons only supports outdated ideas. Society needs to move toward fairness and respect for everyone, regardless of gender.
