Rajasthani Woman Ties Rakhi on Second Husband

Rajasthani Woman Ties Rakhi on Second HusbandIn an unusual turn of events, a father from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, who was upset with his son-in-law’s distinct ethnic background, made a stunning choice. He convinced his already-married daughter to marry another man from Antagarh, Chhattisgarh. She chose to tie a rakhi around his neck in the hopes of remarrying her first husband.

However, in order to express her strong opposition to her father’s coerced marriage, the woman made a daring move by admitting that she was already married to her second husband. She even put a rakhi on him, a customary ritual between brothers and sisters. However, in addition to her gesture, she stated that this man had harassed her. As a result, she wants to remarry her first husband, whom she freely wed.

Taruna Sharma and Surendra Sankhla, childhood friends from Balesar, Rajasthan, set out on a love and commitment adventure. Despite their strong bond, Sharma’s father was opposed to their marriage because of Sankhla’s distinct cultural background.

After finishing college, the pair decided to take their love to the next level and get married. Their joy, however, was short-lived, since Sharma’s family hunted them down just 10 days after their wedding. They were dragged to the local police station in Balesar and forcefully separated by the woman’s relatives.

The woman said her relatives had imprisoned her in several Gujarati and Rajasthani cities for the last five months. She was not allowed to use a phone and was unable to interact with anyone. Taruna’s engagement was called off when the young guy she was previously engaged to in Rajasthan turned out to be a criminal. On May 1, she married Jitendra Joshi, whom she subsequently claimed mistreated her.

She was recently having treatment at a Raipur hospital when she stole a phone and dialed her first husband’s number. She also posted the story on Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

Moreover, despite the new couple’s conflicting viewpoints, the woman tied a rakhi (molly) to her second husband. The woman said she attached the rakhi to her second husband, Jitendra Joshi, to persuade him to allow her to remarry her first husband, but Joshi claimed his wife was blackmailing him in numerous ways. He stated that he tied the rakhi to keep her from doing so.
