In a startling turn of events, popular Tamil rap artist Devanand has been abducted near Thiruverkadu in Chennai, leaving the music industry and fans in a state of disbelief. The incident took place shortly after Devanand attended a World Music Day event at a private hall in Nungambakkam. Accompanied by his friends Kevin, Klapan Girish, and Mohammad Ibrahim, Devanand headed towards the Maduravayal bypass road near Thiruverkadu, before venturing onto the bustling Chennai-Bangalore National Highway.
The kidnapping occurred when a two-wheeler purposefully scratched their car, prompting Ibrahim to inspect for any damage. Seemingly out of nowhere, an SUV appeared with ten individuals on board. Displaying knives, the group swiftly abducted Devanand from Ibrahim’s vehicle, leaving his friends in shock and despair.
Responding promptly, the Thiruverkadu police contacted Devanand’s phone number following a complaint lodged by his friends. Allegedly, these same individuals were responsible for the kidnapping, although Devanand assured the authorities that he was being treated well by his captors.
In the wake of this alarming incident, the Thiruverkadu police have assembled a dedicated task force to investigate and locate the gang responsible for the abduction of the talented rap artist.
