Wife Leaves Husband TomatoesAfter an altercation about tomatoes, a husband in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, filed a police complaint. Sandeep Burman, the husband, owns a Dhanpuri dhaba. His wife was furious when he added tomatoes to tiffin meals, according to his police complaint. The wife left because of the excessive tomato price of Rs 140 per kilogram, which caused a fight between the pair.

Dhanpuri police chief Sanjay Jaiswal acknowledged the event. He said the complaint claimed his wife’s leaving with their little kid because of her discontent with the food’s tomatoes. Jaiswal said the wife returned home following police counseling. Tomato prices have risen nationally and in Madhya Pradesh. Retail rates have reached an alarming Rs 150-160 per kilogram. Most veggies have also increased in price. Ladyfinger costs rose from Rs 20 to Rs 45-50 per kilogram.
