Leicester Public Schools published CCTV footage showing Charlie Loverme choking on a piece of mozzarella cheese in the cafeteria at Leicester Middle School.

He started coughing and walking back and forth, but he couldn’t vomit anything up. Amelia, his sister, comes to his aid at this point. The footage was posted to Now This News’ Instagram account.

The video, which went viral following the event, shows Charlie dining in the cafeteria when he suddenly chokes on a piece of cheese. He starts pacing, unsure what to do next, and tries unsuccessfully to cough out the item clogging his windpipe. His sister notices this and offers to assist. She does the Heimlich Manoeuvre on him, and the next thing you know, he’s OK.

“I didn’t know what to do; I just felt like I had to help him,” Amelia explained to CBS Boston. “She is incredible, and our entire community is proud of her quick thinking.” ‘She is a hero,’ a school administrator in the area told Boston.com.
