Twitter is bidding adieu to its symbolic blue bird and the name itself as Elon Musk’s X.com now officially redirects to Twitter. The X symbol is going to take over as both the name and logo of the company. But ever since this change, Xvideos is now trending on Twitter, confusing the general public.
Xvideos is a major porn hosting website, and its resemblance with the X.com has led to the circulation of numerous memes and posts about the same. Netizens question if Twitter videos will be called simply xvideos from now on. Many humorously took a dig at Twitter, showing people searching for porn being redirected to Twitter.
Just a day before this, Musk tweeted that if a good enough X logo is posted, they’ll make the change live and bid adieu to brand Twitter and gradually all the birds. However, it’s not sure if even Musk had anticipated the reaction it’ll receive and how X will be associated with Xvideos. Meanwhile, Musk has tweeted from his parody account, saying, ‘we need to host a funeral for the Twitter Bird.’
Even Musk himself has joined the meme marathon around it and tweeted a photo with the caption, ‘Mom, you can’t be tweeting “XXX.” Do you know what that means?’ The photo is of Maye Musk’s Twitter account, where she seems to be celebrating the change.
