Indian Cricketer Rishabh Pant shared a picture of his reunion with the gang before they left for the West Indies tour. Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Yuzvendra Chahal visited the NCA.
Rishabh updated his Instagram profile bio, changing his date of birth to 5th January 2023. The reason for Pant’s change in perception has not been officially confirmed. Speculations suggest that he considers January 5, 2023, as a significant personal milestone following the car accident he was involved in on December 30, 2022. His official date of birth remains October 4, 1997.
Pant recently posted a photo of his reunion with Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Yuzvendra Chahal at the NCA before their trip to the West Indies.
The 25-year-old was spotted walking unassisted and even shared a video of themselves climbing stairs at the NCA without crutches.
Pant’s progress is faster than expected, but it’s highly unlikely he will be included in the upcoming ODI World Cup at home. He is in good spirits, can walk longer without a crutch, and is currently focused on strengthening during his rehab. The source from BCCI confirmed this last month.
Pant suffered multiple injuries in an accident, causing him to miss the IPL 2023 season and the World Test Championship final. He underwent successful knee ligament surgery in Mumbai after being treated in Roorkie and Dehradun. All three key ligaments in his knee were torn, with two reconstructed early and the third addressed after six weeks.
The Indian team is facing injury concerns, with KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah all in recovery from their respective injuries. We are hoping for a great comeback of team India during the Ireland series.
