The LA 2028 Olympics will be historic for the game of cricket, as the sport is set to make its Olympic comeback after a long time since it was last played in 1900.
The matches are set to start from 9AM and 6.30 PM local time, which would mean approximately 9.30 PM and 7AM when converted to IST.
While many Indians have praised this decision, some global cricket fans don’t seem to be too happy about it.
Many have come forward criticising the move, saying its sole purpose is to reel in the Indian audience.
But the Indian fans are standing firm. They are of the opinion that if India contributes the most to world cricket, then it deserves to be considered while decisions are made about the sport.
With the Olympic excitement at an all-time high, one thing is for certain – cricket is here to stay and so is India’s sway in the governance of the sport.
