Indian Captain Shubman Gill seems all geared up to take on England in the first test match as the stage gets set for the big day tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a recent press conference of the skipper has gone viral, where upon being asked about the style of cricket India will play, he slyly says, “You would have to wait until August to see what kind of style that would be”.
While there is nothing wrong with this statement, it goes on to reveal that Gill is trying to act like his predecessors, trying to be the tough guy.
Also, Gill recently revealed that he wanted to be ‘the best batter’ in the series and not worry about the captaincy. The thing is, if that was the case, then what was the need for him to take up the big role in the first place?
With such contrast between words and actions, we can only hope that Captain Gill turns out to be a man of his words, and not someone who has mere hollow words!
