ICT’s Biggest Weakness Resolved: Long Search Over?

Sai Sudharsan at No 3 Position

The Indian management finally seems to have placed its trust and backing with Sai Sudharsan for India’s fight against England, and it seems to be paying off rather well.

Sai has placed his name among the last two number 3 players to have scored a 50+ score in an overseas test, right after Cheteshwar Pujara in 2022 by scoring 61 runs in 151 balls.

This has led to many acknowledging the sound cricketing skills of the young talent. While he is getting praise from all over, Karun Nair, his predecessor, is getting trolled brutally for playing a big part in India not being able to gain a lead in the series.

Although hesitant, the public has started to murmur the question — Is Sai Sudharsan the final answer to India’s long-time search for a reliable number 3 batsman after Cheteshwar Pujara?

While we still might be a long way from knowing the answer, one thing is certain. This young talent is here to stay and to shake up the cricketing world.
