Ravichandran Ashwin confused you and many others with a strange meme on X. He posted a collage of Sunny Leone and Chennai’s Sadhu Street, which immediately led to wild guesses online. Fans wondered if he was hinting at something big.
The truth was simple. Ashwin wanted to appreciate Tamil Nadu all-rounder Sunny Sandhu. He joked through a wordplay on Sunny and Sadhu while celebrating the youngster’s brilliant cameo in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Sandhu smashed 30 runs off just 9 balls and built a quick 37-run stand with Sai Sudharsan to finish a chase against Saurashtra.
It was only his second T20 match and he already impressed with clean hitting. Ashwin used humour to shine a light on a rising cricketer who deserves more attention.
Ashwin also spoke about England’s Bazball strategy in the Ashes. He said that when it clicks, there is nothing like it. As always, he shared a balanced view, adding more interest to the ongoing debate.
