India vs England Women’s T20

Sony has come under fire for its tagline for the upcoming India Women vs England Women T20I match scheduled to begin today.

In a recently released social media post, Sony used the tagline, “Test me Ladkon ki haar ka badla T20I me lengi ladkiyan!” (Girls in T20I will take the revenge for the defeat of Boys in Test)

This has turned out to be a massive backfire for Sony, as the company is now facing fire on all fronts.

Many have slammed the broadcasting giant for demeaning women’s cricket, asking whether it exists only to take revenge for the losses of the Men.

Others have taken offence on a different issue, expressing their anger at Sony equating a potential win in a T20I with a loss in a test match.

Whatever the reason may be, it seems Sony may need to issue an apology quite soon, otherwise they may be the ones in need of someone to take revenge for them sometime in the future.
