Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s Wimbledon 2025 outing was meant to be a quiet day out but social media had other plans.
As soon as the couple was spotted at Centre Court cheering for Novak Djokovic, fans went into meme mode and the internet is now laughing and reminiscing.
A tweet that caught attention had two side by side photos of Kohli. One from years ago when Anushka was his girlfriend and another from this week when she’s his wife.
The caption read: “10 Years is a long time even for Virushka”. The first photo had a younger Kohli looking sharp and fresh.
The second an older, calmer Kohli seated next to Anushka in a white outfit looking more composed, almost serious.
This was enough for fans to comment “He’s giving full father vibes now”. The post took off not just because it was funny but because it hit on something real how much Kohli has changed in the last decade.
The timing couldn’t have been better. Just months ago Kohli led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their first ever IPL title.
He also stepped away from Test cricket, possibly the beginning of the end of his playing career.
From being one of the most aggressive cricketers on the field to now being seen as a calm family man, the shift is clear.
What added to the charm of this Wimbledon outing was how normal and grounded the couple looked.
Anushka checked her phone casually while Kohli sat next to her in a brown suit. There was no flashiness. Just a couple enjoying a tennis match and some downtime.
People weren’t just laughing at the meme many also related to it. One moment you’re dating, the next you’re juggling work, parenting and public life.
And for someone like Kohli that transformation has happened right in front of everyone’s eyes.
Even Novak Djokovic who won the match in a dramatic four set comeback against Alex de Minaur took a moment to reply to Kohli’s praise on Instagram.
Kohli called him a “gladiator” and said it was “business as usual”. Djokovic replied with a simple “Thank you for supporting” So while Djokovic had his moment on court, Kohli had his on social media not with a bat in hand but with a serious face, a brown suit and a look that said: husband, dad and now apparently a meme king.
