English Cricketing legend Joe Root has come forward to say how he will miss his time on-field with the Indian cricket team without the presence of Virat Kohli.

He said, “I have never been in competition with Virat. He is someone I have always admired & thought, ‘Wow, what a player’. I will miss those battles we had on the field.”

The irony is that literally every cricketer and ex-cricketer in the world feels the same. Ex-Indian coach Ravi Shastri has gone so far ahead as to blatantly accuse the management of mishandling matters with Kohli, causing this massive blunder.

It seems that everyone in the world except for the BCCI top brass and lord Gambhir feels that Kohli should have continued in the Indian Team.

So in such a situation, it becomes mandatory to ask how necessary it was to force a legend of the game to step away from it when others like Ben Stokes come out of retirement to play in whites.




The BCCI and GG must provide a reasonable answer to this. It is the job of the management to let us know where things went wrong and how.
