With the WTC Final going on with all the glamour at Lord’s Cricket Ground in England, many Indians have started to wonder about India’s ability to host a WTC Final at one of its own venues.
While many advocated for India to host these big games, some were also strongly against it, that too with strong logic.

This WTC Final has seen a beautiful diaspora of neutral English crowds coming to watch the game between South Africa and Australia, with people being divided just by the jerseys they wore.
Many claimed that something like this couldn’t happen in India because the public would never be so eager to watch a game in which Team India is not involved.

These people believe that any neutral game in India would mean empty stands, as people only want to watch their Ro-Ko and if they’re not there, then they become uninterested in cricket.
While not completely true, the statement does hold some value as Indian fans are often known to obsess over certain players and not the game.

With things in limbo as of now, it will be interesting to see if India gets any chance to host the WTC Finals in the near future.
