Ex-Indian coach and legendary broadcaster Ravi Shastri has been in recent talks all over social media due to his statements on the India vs England test series.
Shastri had blamed luck for India being behind in the series by 2-1. According to him, if luck had been on our side, we would have easily dominated the series 3-0.
This statement quickly drew criticism from the internet, with people quickly commenting about the apparent weaknesses in the Indian team, both regarding batting as well as bowling.
Many pointed out how a defeat is almost certain in any match played in England if India doesn’t get a significant lead after the first innings.
The English dedication needs to be praised, for their relentlessness rather than luck that made them chase such huge targets without losing their morale by making appropriate use of the right moments to turn the tide of the game.
Although luck played its fair part, India’s defeats were more a result of a lack of consistency from our players rather than anything else.
