Team India has been batting in a phenomenal way in the first test match against England. But that’s where the good part pretty much ends.
The Indian bowlers are turning out to be failures apart from Jasprit Bumrah, and the English team is chasing the targets without breaking much sweat.
This begs a very serious question — Is the Indian batting lineup actually performing well, or is it just the pitch being too easy to bat on?
Time and again we have seen Indian batting glow up when given flat pitches. Not to doubt their abilities, but England’s batting has also been fairly equal, and hence the doubt arises naturally.
While it may not seem like a problem now, any potential faults in the currently invincible-looking batting lineup will definitely rear their ugly heads if future pitches turn out to be tougher towards batting.
It will be interesting to see if Team India can hold themselves together with the bat as they go on to the next test match.
