Rohit Sharma is the joint most successful captain in the history of IPL as he led Mumbai Indians to five IPL title wins. But in a shocking development, he was replaced as the captain of the side by Hardik Pandya at Mumbai Indians this year. Now there are reports that he could move out of the Mumbai camp next year.

In this context, we are hearing that Rohit could be moving to Delhi Capitals in the coming season of IPL.

Delhi Capital CEO, Parth Jindal reportedly had a brief meeting with Rohit recently and discussed the idea of moving to Delhi. This speculation is all over social media now and it has led to multiple discussions.

However, we must note that Rohit’s possible move to Delhi Capitals will come with its own set of challenges. Firstly, Delhi is not a champion side, and the fact that they have qualified for the playoffs just six times in the last 16 years shows the same. Their last best performance came in 2020 when they ironically lost to Rohit’s Mumbai.

Coming to the squad depth as well, Delhi doesn’t have too much of a talent pool apart from Warner and Pant. So, Rohit could be facing a huge challenge if he indeed comes to Delhi. Will he be up for the challenge?

There are also reports that Rohit could even possibly move to Sunrisers Hyderabad as he is much loved amongst the Telugu community. Decisive clarity on this will emerge in the next year’s auction.
