Virat Kohli is regarded as the biggest cricketing superstar not to have gotten his hands on the IPL trophy. While his counterparts Dhoni and Rohit have done it five times each, not once has Kohli won the title with RCB.
Now, this has led to a narrative on social media that it is perhaps time for Kohli to leave RCB and embark on a new adventure with some other team.
On one side, we keep hearing negative commentary against Kohli from a section of RCB fans themselves about Kohli’s slow scoring rate which is hurting their team. And on the other, we must note that Kohli needs a change of personnel after having been with RCB for 16 long years.
Kohli is nearing the end of his peak years and as things stand, him being with RCB is not beneficial for himself as a player or RCB as a franchise.
Kohli will have virtually endless takers if he does decide to move out of RCB. But the only question is will he take the huge plunge and actually call it quits for RCB and his famous loyalist base? Only time will tell.
We must also note that Rohit Sharma is also said to be contemplating a move to another team after having lost his captaincy spot to Hardik Pandya in the ongoing season.
