This appointment has been nothing but controversial, with some social media users praising the ever-rising dominance of the BCCI, and others strongly objecting to the creation of a supposed authoritarian cricket monopoly.
This all becomes even more obvious when we consider the fact that Jay Shah is the current chairman of the ICC.
While nothing can be said with utter clarity, these kinds of moves certainly indicate a push for dominance in the ICC, and not necessarily in a healthy way.
