With England having made a one-match lead against India in the third test match at Lord’s, the fourth one becomes a very crucial and the only match for India to have a fair shot at winning the series.
Amidst all the uncertainty, it has finally been announced that Jasprit Bumrah will be set to play the 4th test match at Stretford.
This has sent a mixed wave of emotions among fans. While many are happy to have the world’s best red-ball pacer standing firm with the team for the big game, others have pointed out Bumrah’s controversial record of India losing 9 out of the last 10 test games in which he has played.
Keeping all that aside, Bumrah playing such a crucial match will be a big relief for India, who will have at least one reliable pacer to take wickets regardless of the pitch conditions.
Apart from Bumrah, fans are also calling for Kuldeep Yadav to be included in the playing XI so that India gets a proper spinner, especially with Jadeja acting more like a batter who can bowl.
It will be interesting to see what the management thinks about this as India gears up to face England for the 4th time in this series.
