India has taken a comfortable lead in the 2nd test match, crushing the English batting lineup as they went all out for 407 during their first innings.
While the Indian side has been exceptionally good both in terms of batting and bowling, luck still seems to be on the side of England.
Weather reports have revealed an 84% chance of rain in Birmingham, where the 2nd test match is being held. This means that India’s hope for a win may be washed away if nature decides to pour rain, forcing the match to a draw.
This would mean that England would continue to maintain its lead in the series, and India would have to fight harder in the next match to gain ground.
It will be interesting to see if the rain gods will decide to align themselves in favour of Stokes and Company to snatch yet another almost-decisive victory from the Indian hands.
