For days, fans have been whispering about Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson moving to CSK.

It seemed like just another social media buzz. But now a senior CSK official has confirmed what many fans were hoping for Sanju is on their radar.
In an exclusive with Cricbuzz, a CSK official said, “We are looking at Sanju. He is an Indian batter, who is a keeper and an opener.

So if he is available, we will definitely look at the option of having him in our team.” That’s as clear as it gets. They are not just monitoring him they want him if things fall in place.
No trade talks have taken place with Rajasthan Royals yet but CSK hasn’t ruled out anything.

The official added, “Who we will trade him with, we haven’t taken that call because the matter has not gone that far. But yes, in principle we are interested.”
This is the first time CSK has publicly admitted their interest in Samson. That’s enough to get fans talking.
Sanju Samson isn’t any player. He was retained by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping ₹18 crore ahead of IPL 2025. He’s their captain, their top-order anchor and their face. If CSK want him, they’ll have to trade big.
