Shubman Gill’s worth is finally being realised as he is turning out to be a gem, both in terms of being a player as well as being a captain.
With two centuries already in his name while playing in the England tour, Gill has forced people to wonder whether his past 4 years as a player were wasted due to Virat Kohli hogging up the number 4 position without contributing much for the team.
People have begun to ask in murmured voices whether Gill playing at the number 4 position a few years back would have made us win more tests.
With his extraordinary performance in England, Gill has already had as many away test hundreds at number 4 as Kohli had in the past 6 years.
With the new Indian skipper looking as confident as ever, it will be interesting to see if he contributes to the team in any way further to once again transform India into the great test cricketing nation it once was.
