R. Ashwin is a well-known and massively respected cricketer India has had the privilege to see in the team. While his cricketing talent can’t be compared with anyone, his recent outburst of anger in the TNPL has shown that he is just like any other human.
Ashwin, who came to open the match for Dindigul Dragons against IDream Tiruppur, was dismissed LBW while facing his 11th bowl, bowled by R. Sai Kishore.
Although it was revealed later that he was actually not out, the umpire’s earlier decision could not be challenged due to the openers having exhausted all their reviews on wide balls.
Ashwin got massively angry about it, throwing his gloves and smashing his bat on his pads while going back to the pavilion, an incident that quickly went viral.
This did not sit well with the public, who bashed this kind of immature behaviour from a player of a stature as big as Ashwin.
Ashwin later received a 30% penalty for the same.
This incident goes on to show that even the masters of a field are nothing more than angry primate humans when push comes to shove.
