All-rounders like Shardul Thakur are proving to be completely inefficient. Shardul, who had big hopes pinned on him, has managed to score just 5 runs in two innings.

In bowling, he has bowled just 6 overs out of 100. Is this the level of professionalism India wants?

Nitish Kumar Reddy, the batter who played the role of an anchor and stabilised the innings in Australia, has been forced to warm the benches.

The management should know better by now, and bring him into the game to give India the much-needed lower-order resistance back.
