The Indian team has been going strong in England, with the top and middle order showing formidable resistance against the English bowling attack.
But that’s where things pretty much start to go down for Team India. The lower-order batting has been a disappointment at best, with no batter seemingly knowing how to stand his ground on the field for a decent amount of time.

All-rounders like Shardul Thakur are proving to be completely inefficient. Shardul, who had big hopes pinned on him, has managed to score just 5 runs in two innings.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, the batter who played the role of an anchor and stabilised the innings in Australia, has been forced to warm the benches.
The management should know better by now, and bring him into the game to give India the much-needed lower-order resistance back.
