Jaiswal has been exceptional in Test cricket, where he has scored 2245 runs in just 25 matches. His performances in the red-ball format show maturity far beyond his age and a temperament suited for long innings.
Reliable in T20 Internationals
In T20Is, Jaiswal has also impressed with 723 runs in 23 games. His ability to adapt to different conditions and maintain aggressive intent has helped India in several crucial matches.
Limited ODI opportunities
The only format where Jaiswal hasn’t fully showcased his potential is ODIs. However, this is due to limited chances rather than form. He has played only one ODI so far, scoring 15 runs in that game.
A talent India must not ignore
Jaiswal’s rapid rise proves he can become a world-class all-format player, much like Virat Kohli or even chase some of Sachin Tendulkar’s red-ball records. The BCCI needs to recognise his potential and give him more opportunities in ODIs to shape his legacy.
