120 Cr Loss Due to SK? Producer’s Explosive Comments Viral

Popular Kollywood producer KJ Rajesh, who owns KJR Studios, is set to make his acting debut with Angikaaram. The film is directed by debutant JP Thenpathiyan and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release this June. During a recent interview, KJ Rajesh spoke about the financial difficulties he faced while producing films starring Sivakarthikeyan. His comments quickly gained attention on social media and sparked widespread discussion among movie fans.

According to KJ Rajesh, Hero and Ayalaan were initially produced by 24AM Studios. He claimed that Hero became entangled in financial issues, prompting him to take over both projects. As part of the arrangement, he reportedly signed an agreement with Sivakarthikeyan for three future films under the KJR Studios banner.

The producer stated that Hero eventually turned out to be a major box-office failure. He also revealed that Ayalaan, which had already been completed in 2018 when he acquired it, faced prolonged financial challenges that delayed its release. As a result, the interest burden on the project reportedly continued to increase over time.

KJ Rajesh further claimed that although Doctor emerged as a successful venture under their banner, he did not receive any financial profit from the film. He explained that the earnings were not enough to offset the mounting liabilities associated with the other projects.

Speaking about the agreement with Sivakarthikeyan, KJ Rajesh said that the actor was expected to complete three films under his production house. He claimed that this arrangement was intended to help recover losses and settle outstanding financial commitments related to Hero and Ayalaan.

However, after Hero underperformed at the box office, KJ Rajesh said he was forced to refund nearly ₹30 crore to distributors. He further alleged that Hero, Ayalaan and Doctor collectively pushed him into debts worth around ₹120 crore, while Sivakarthikeyan was reportedly burdened with debts of about ₹55 crore.

The producer concluded by stating that Sivakarthikeyan still has two films remaining under their agreement. He remarked that only time will tell when those projects eventually take shape under the banner.

His comments have generated significant discussion online. Many social media users believe the producer’s financial struggles indicate that Hero and Ayalaan did not perform as expected commercially. Some have also argued that several of Sivakarthikeyan’s recent films, apart from Amaran, may not have delivered the desired returns for those involved.

Despite the mixed opinions, KJ Rajesh’s remarks about the financial impact of Sivakarthikeyan’s films continue to trend on social media. The discussion has prompted strong reactions from fans and industry observers, keeping the topic firmly in the spotlight.
