He responded by saying that something terrible had recently happened in his personal life, which deeply affected him. “It felt like digging a grave and being put inside it,” he said, adding that people would know about the incident in the next six months. He described it as the biggest tragedy of his life and said he had only started recovering from it last week.

Following his emotional revelation, social media was flooded with speculation. Some users suggested that his comments could be linked to his delayed project 7G Rainbow Colony 2, which has faced multiple postponements.

Others speculated that the issue might be personal, pointing to rumours about a possible separation from his wife Gitanjali. They noted that the couple, once seen together frequently at public events, haven’t been spotted together lately.

However, these are only social media assumptions. Selvaraghavan has not made any official statement confirming or denying any of these rumours. His emotional remarks, however, have sparked concern among fans and colleagues, with many expressing their support for the director online.
