The Abu Dhabi based carrier reported a profit after tax of AED 1.1 billion, equal to 306 million US dollars. This marks a 32 percent rise compared to the same period in 2024. Revenue grew 16 percent, supported by strong passenger and cargo demand. EBITDA reached AED 2.7 billion with a margin of 20 percent.

Passenger Growth Leads the Way

Passenger numbers have been a major driver of success. Etihad carried 10.2 million travellers in the first half of 2025, a 17 percent increase year on year. Its load factor improved to 87 percent, two points higher than last year. In July, the airline hit a milestone of 20 million passengers over a rolling twelve month period, doubling totals since 2022.

Fleet Expansion and Network Growth

Etihad’s growing fleet has boosted results further. The airline now operates more than 100 aircraft. In 2025, it received six Airbus A350s, a seventh Airbus A380, and its first A321LR.

In May, the carrier placed an order for 28 wide body Boeing jets. July saw five new aircraft delivered in a single month, the largest intake in Etihad’s history. The airline has launched or announced 27 new destinations this year, taking its global network close to 90 routes.

Leadership and Workforce

Chief Executive Officer Antonoaldo Neves credited the performance to a strategy built on sustainable growth, premium customer experience, and employee commitment. The airline has recruited more than 1,700 new staff and promoted over 1,100 employees in 2025 alone.
