A traveller shared a frustrating experience after taking four consecutive United Airlines flights. All four were delayed due to technical issues discovered only after passengers had boarded.
Delays and Technical Problems
Each delay lasted between one and four hours, causing missed connections and long waits inside the aircraft. In one case, a brake malfunction raised further concerns about United’s maintenance consistency.
Poor Cabin Service Experience
The traveller also highlighted unprofessional behaviour from the cabin crew. When asked about the type of wine served, a flight attendant reportedly refused to show the bottle and poured it abruptly before walking away.
Lack of Meal Transparency
Passengers were not given a meal menu, leaving many unaware of what they were being served. Those with allergies or dietary restrictions struggled to confirm ingredients, and requests for clarification were allegedly ignored.
Contrast Between Classes
This was the traveller’s first time flying United in economy after previously flying business. The difference in service quality was stark and disappointing.
Broader Concerns for United
While occasional delays and technical checks are normal in aviation, repeated equipment issues and poor inflight service suggest deeper operational and training problems within the airline.
