47 Immigrants Rescued, One Indian Arrested

Indian ArrestedIn a recent incident in Cancun, Mexico, a 26-year-old Indian national named Dhrambir “X” was arrested in connection with a shocking discovery.

Authorities in Cancun disclosed that Dhrambir was apprehended during the rescue operation that saved 46 men and one woman who were found locked inside a room against their will.

The operation was carried out by the Cancun Municipal Secretary of Public Security, led by IM Lieutenant Commander José Pablo Mathey Cruz. They responded promptly to an anonymous report in SM 22, leading to the liberation of 47 immigrants from India.

The immigrants had been located following a call to the 911 emergency number, which alerted authorities to their presence in a small hotel on Margaritas Street.

After the rescue, Cancun Police managed to detain Dhrambir “X,” who is of the same nationality as the victims. All 47 immigrants received medical evaluations and treatment in accordance with international protocols. They were subsequently transferred by personnel from the National Institute of Migration (INM) for the necessary legal procedures.

This incident underscores the importance of timely and effective responses to reports of human rights violations, ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected.
