A car accident in Alkhor, Qatar, killed 5 people, including 3 Kollam Malayalis. Roshin John (38), his wife Ansy Gomes (30), Ansy’s brother Jijo Gomes (34), and their friends Praveenkumar Shankar (38) and Nagalakshmi Chandrasekaran (33), both from Karunagapally, were the victims. Aden, Rosh, and Ansi’s three-year-old son survived the collision but had serious injuries at Sidra Medicine Hospital.
Alkhor Mortuary has 5 deceased. On Wednesday night, their car lost control of the Alkhor overpass and fell off. All 5 individuals save the toddler died instantly.
This tragedy followed another Malayali accident. Manojkumar Arjun (34), from Malappuram Melmuri, and Palathanath Augustine AB (41), from Kottayam Mannakkanad, died on a four-person flight from Qatar to Saudi Arabia. Recent occurrences have shocked and grieved the Malayali community.
