Being Hindu A Liability? New York Times Says

Being Hindu A Liability New York Times SaysThe New York Times, in another not-so-surprising take, has indicated that being a Hindu is a liability in the US. Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate in the race for the White House, has been called a casteist, just because he is proud of his Hindu culture. Moreover, his Brahmin roots have been mentioned in the article.

This is not the first time though that NYT has gone completely over the board to call people who are non-whites but proud of their culture as racist. The media house, which portrays itself as a world news medium, forgets to call out the racism in its own country, the place which carried out the horrors of slavery even after the World Wars.

The newspaper has been partial in its coverage of acts of violence focusing more on the religion of the individual than the actual incident. Most of it is very apparent while reporting India-related news. The same thing happens when it covers news related to immigrant Americans, as has been the case with Vivek Ramaswamy.
