The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is on a trip to the USA amidst the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. The USA has been a supporter of Ukraine and has offered huge financial reliefs to the country struggling to hold ground. However not everyone is happy about this and this was seen in New York when during the visit of Zelenskyy, a billboard displayed ‘Glory To Urine’ instead of Glory To Ukraine with a Ukrainian flag.
This was seen as an embarrassment and a big insult to the Ukrainian President who is in the US to gain further support and aid in this battle against Russia. The video of the billboard got viral pretty soon and became a global talking point. However, as the video was spreading like wildfire, fact checkers tried to investigate the matter and found that the circulating video was fake and the billboard never displayed any such message.
The video was generated using deepfake, an AI technology that is used to generate realistic looking videos just about anything. This has also raised serious concerns about what can even be trusted on the internet anymore. The video might have been fake but it served the purpose and brought attention towards the Ukraine-Russia war and the cost of it on humanity.
