An NRI’s return home turned into a nightmare for his family and himself. Putting the trust in the wrong people has tragically ended the life of the Canada-return, Balwinder Singh.
Surinder Kaur, Balwinder’s wife living in Canada, claims he transferred ₹2.80 lakh to Ramesh Kumar and Narinderpal, alias Nindi, for a land deal in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. But instead of handing over the property, they allegedly plotted to kill him and take the money as per the media reports.

The story seems to corroborate as Balwinder’s phone has been switched off since January 21, the same day he went to meet the two accused. Following that his wife filed a missing report on January 27 and an investigation was launched.
On February 1st a former sarpanch found a body in a jungle with injury marks and clear signs of brutal murder. According to the media, it was soon reported to Surinder, and the body was recognized as her husband’s.
