Burglary Duo Busted: Jail Time for One, Youth Order for Other

Lewis-Dooley-burglaries-in-North-ManchesterLewis Dooley and a juvenile co-conspirator were sentenced to long jail sentences for violent burglary in North Manchester and Oldham. The two broke into unsecured homes at night through patio doors and stole valuable things and automobiles.

In October 2022, the North Manchester Neighbourhood Team chased Dooley and four others in their automobile. Despite their best attempts, they were immediately arrested for Taking Without the Owner’s Consent. Because the automobile had keys from previous burglaries, the criminal team’s investigation took a lengthy time.

Dooley received a four-and-a-half-year prison term, while the juvenile co-conspirator received a 24-month youth referral order, a six-month electronic curfew, and 91 days of community service.

Detective Sergeant Terina Arthern of the Greater Manchester Police Department’s North Manchester division praised all teams involved in apprehending the criminals. She advised against complacency and self-defense.

It’s horrible that these criminals break into people’s homes while they sleep. Dooley’s lengthy prison sentence should dissuade others from committing crimes like his.

Everybody must watch out for invaders and safeguard their homes and families. We can avoid terrible actions in our communities if we work together and stay attentive.
