A very sad event happened in Texas. A father, got shot and killed while he was trying to stop a fight between his teenage daughter and some other girls. The police in San Antonio had to come to the scene.
This man’s name was Gabriel Campos Gonzales, and he was 54 years old. The doctors have said that he died because someone shot him in the upper part of his body. They call it a homicide, which means it was a crime.
What happened was that a group of teenagers came to where two girls lived. They wanted to fight these two girls. Then, a fight started between all these teenagers. The father, Gonzales, tried to stop the fight, but someone we don’t know shot him many times. After that, the shooter ran away.
People who lived nearby heard a big argument before the shots were fired. It turns out these two groups of girls had been having problems for months, and it got really bad on that Tuesday. Luckily, security cameras from nearby houses recorded the shooting, and this will help the police find the person who did it.
Even though they rushed Gonzales to the hospital, he couldn’t survive, and he passed away. Right now, the police are still looking into what happened and trying to understand why it happened.
