Following this, the British Council have announced ‘GREAT Scholarships’: an initiative that will aim at offering Indian students a chance at studying in the prestigious universities of the nation.
UK has been seeing an annual influx of over a hundred and thirty thousand Indian students and have hence introduced these scholarships as a chance to maximize the mutual benefits of the 2 nations and strengthen their enduring ties, welcoming the Indian students with open and beloved arms.
According to the reports, the scholarships will come into effect from the session 2024-25 and will be offering the students from India an opportunity to undertake postgraduate programmes offered the United Kingdom across various fields of studies as management, sciences and arts.
As of now, 25 esteemed Universities have vowed to put into effect this scholarship and will be doing so across 26 disciplines. The benefits of a single scholarship amount to a minimum of ten thousand pounds and will be paid towards the tution fee for a one-year PG programme in the country for the year 24-25, beginning this fall.
