A tragic incident has struck Haryana’s Kaithal district. Arun Jangra, fondly known as Romi, lost his life in a road accident in the United States, where he had moved in search of better opportunities. The news has left his family and community in mourning.
According to the family, 28-year-old Arun last spoke to them on June 20, when he had a brief phone call with his parents. He told them he was busy at that moment and would call back later. That was the last time they ever heard his voice.
Arun was reportedly struck by a speeding vehicle, and details of the accident are still unfolding. His sudden death has devastated his parents, who are now pleading with the Indian government to help bring their son’s body back to India for his final rites.
The family says they are not financially equipped to manage the cost of repatriation and are appealing for urgent government intervention. Local residents and social workers have come forward in support, amplifying the family’s request.
This incident also highlights the emotional struggles faced by families of Indian citizens living abroad. While they chase dreams in distant lands, the pain of losing them far from home is unbearable.
As of now, no official response has come from the authorities, but the family remains hopeful that their son will be brought home soon, so they can bid him a final goodbye with dignity and love.
