Indian Americans Don’t Feel Much Homesick

Indian Americans Homesick About 4 million Indians currently reside in the USA, but you might wonder how many of them actually miss their home. Brace yourself for some underwhelming stats that reveal their sentiments.

Over 7000 American Asian adults participated in a survey, and only 33% of them expressed favorable views about India.

The statistics also indicate that around 78% of adult Asian Americans hold a favorable view of the US, with 44% of them having a very favorable opinion. Now, when it comes to Indians in the US, 86% of them hold positive regard for the USA, while only 1% have an extremely unfavorable opinion.

Regarding India, people have mixed opinions. Only 33% of the Indians living in the US have a favorable opinion, while 41% express a neutral view, and the rest view it unfavorably.

An interesting finding from the survey is that 72% of respondents said they would not move back to their ancestral homelands, whereas only 26% indicated they would. Among those who desire to return to their homeland, 33% are Indians.

The survey also highlighted that interest in moving back to their homelands is lower among immigrants who have been in the US for a longer time.
