Indian Origin Man Faces Assault

At a time when the US is gearing up for presidential election next year and the opposition candidates campaigning for a pro-majority rule, the situation of minority safety in the state looks more and more bleak. The growing number of attacks on members of minority communities has exposed the hollow promise of inclusivity. In a recent incident of hate crime, a young boy of Indian origin was assaulted for his religious identity.

A 19 year old young sikh teen was brutally assaulted in New York while traveling on a public bus. He was attacked allegedly for wearing a turban. The incident took place in Queens, New York on Sunday. The suspect is believed to be a man aged 25-35 of slim build, brown eyes and black hair.
