Rappers are a section of artists who are always in controversies about something or another. Their aggressive nature often leads them to troublesome situations. This time, an Indian rapper got in trouble for posting racist content.
The Indian-origin rapper, named Subhash Nair, has been taken into custody for inciting racial sentiments with his posts. According to reports, he had been doing this from July 2019 to March 2021. Now that his posts have been examined, they are found to be attempting to promote racial discrimination.
The judge in the case, Saifuddin Saruwan, stated that such a thing might seem small and insignificant, but considering that the individual is an influential figure, even a small action on his part can influence people to take wrong steps that could be harmful in certain situations. Given the influence of social media and the internet these days, Subhas Nair has been sentenced to six weeks in jail.
It’s worth noting that in 2019, Subhash was given a conditional warning for including racist lyrics in a YouTube video. Do you think that putting him in jail was justified? Share your opinions. Stay tuned to M9 for more updates.
